Points to Ponder
Underinsurance could lead to claims discrepancies. Check with your broker that you are adequately insured.

If you have recently moved, your broker needs to be informed immediately as this could affect your cover.

Do you have up-to-date valuations for all your valuable items? This could prevent unnecessary delays should there be a claim.

Misrepresentation can invalidate claims. Be honest and upfront at all times with your broker to prevent this.

It is essential that stipulated security requirements are met at all times. Confirm these requirements on your schedule and in your policy wording.

About Us Header

Most insurance brokers and insurance companies claim to offer personalised service, however, very few actually deliver on that promise. Having identified this as a shortfall in the market, we at Insurance Zone have developed our business model around just that – the promise of true personalised service.

What we offer is a level of service that we would expect from our service providers, and considering the rate at which we have managed to grow our business, it is testimony to the fact that we must be living up to our promises and doing things right.

In addition to this, all our staff are fully FAIS accredited in terms of the current legislation, so you can be sure that you are receiving qualified advice, coupled with years of experience.

Why use a broker?

For the past 4 years the debate has raged on between which is better: insuring direct with an insurance company or via a broker. We believe that there is place in the market for both. The direct insurers typically target clients with more straight forward or basic requirements, where all your dealings with them will be telephonic. However they do not cater to those clients that would prefer to sort out issues face to face.

The benefit of dealing with a broker is that you will usually meet with the broker personally in order to assess your needs. He will also have the ability to identify shortfalls in your portfolio and to shop around with various insurance companies for a product that best suits your requirements. These requirements will not only look at competitive premiums, but also the insurance company’s ability to handle and pay your claims. Typically larger and more sophisticated clients would require the services of a qualified and competent broker.

At Insurance Zone though, we aim and cater to all our clients needs.  All our calls are voice logged, so should a client need immediate cover we can assist telephonically.

We pride ourselves in having built our business by developing relationships with our clients so, in most instances, our clients are visited by a member of Insurance Zone’s staff to discuss their needs and address any queries they may have.

Questions to ask yourself regarding your current broker:

  1. When last did your current broker come to visit you to update your policy and re-evaluate your needs?
  2. Does your broker or insurer offer a free household contents valuation, done by a professional valuator?
  3. In the event of a motor vehicle theft or write off , do you get paid out according to market value or retail value? More importantly, have you been made aware of the differences?
  4. Can your current broker offer you a tailor made solution that is unique to your requirements, or do you need to take the conventional products that they have on offer?

If you cannot answer yes to ALL of the above questions, then you are with the wrong broker. We offer all of the above and more. Should you be interested in meeting one of our consultants, please click on the link below, and we will get somebody to come and see you
